I have been a bit quiet on the forum recently, having been unwell and also needing to sort somewhere else to live. Unfortunately living on the ninth floor when the lift only goes to the eighth is getting more and more difficult. We have been offered and accepted, a flat at Captain Webb's in Folkestone Road. It really is so suitable, and I must say the property is excellently maintained and in prisitine condition. However, the proposal has been met with cries of horror from my children who appear to rate Folkestone Road on a par with Whitechapel in the era of Jack the Ripper. Can any Forumites put their minds at rest as to the salubriousness of at least that part of the area? Or am I doing the wrong thing. HELP!!
