last minute reminder for those interested a flypast will go over the battle of britain memorial site at capel.
the site opens at 10 am with the flypast due for 1 pm.
for those who have not been there it is definitley worth a visit, some great views inside, a memorial plaque listing all the victims of the battle of britain, a cafe and interesting souvenir shop.

Thanks for that Howard, I didn't know about it but I do now. I will be watching it hopefully.
There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".
Royal Marines Concert @ Bandstand Deal 14.00. Will have to keep fingers crossed they do a trip along the coast!

of course bob, i tried to get in last year but the stewards frog marched me out when they realised i was from dover.
heard them muttering something like "enough crime here as it is".
i was about to mention that i knew you and paul watkins, but reached the conclusion it might have made things worse.
Howard, just tell them that you have an appointment at the tattoo parlour(s).
p.s. Waste of time mentioning Paul. He lives, what we call in Deal 'the wrong side of the tracks'. He thinks it's Middle Deal but according to the postman it's Lower Mill Hill!

Was at Samphire Hoe when the Lancaster and Spitfire flew directly over us several times, my grandsons were really impressed with them, right place right time.

Excellent photos. It's still the throb of the engines which I find so memorable.
