 - Just sold my mother's flying ducks set on eBay.  
 They were NOT Beswick,  and the middle size one had been repaired in two places.
 Never had so many people looking at the page - over 160 -  and sold for £38.
 
 Suggest if  you have a set you sell them on eBay.  You never know what will sell well -  also of course, old fishing reels,  and Victorian marbles !!!

 - I did once have a set of 'Talbots', as they were termed in Private Eye. They too came as a set of three to fly across a wall...if only I had hung on to them.

 - that comes from an era when soaps actually entertained us.
 
 we had  stan ogden and the lodger sitting at the table wearing string vests whilst hilda would come in from one of her cleaning jobs(hair in rollers) with a large bag of fish and chips under her arm.
 
 life in the raw and also funny at the same time.
