So, HMG are proposing, amongst other things, to stop prosecuting "minor" offences of fly tipping. To my mind, this and all the other so-called minor offences that have been mentioned elsewhere such as riding bikes on the pavement and general littering should be hotly pursued.
Here is a typical example. While out walking with the dog the other day, another dog walker drew my attention to "two disgusting blokes" who were dumping stuff next to the High Meadow flats. I took their picture. When I got to the car they must have seen me as they were then loading some earth and hardcore on to the car. It looked as though they were removing it.
Coming back 45 minutes later the same stuff formed a new pile that wasn't there before.
It is obvious what had happened but as I didn't see it I couldn't prove it.
If anyone wants the registration I am quite happy to give it.
