The nations flag should always fly, do you really think Sue Nicholas it should only fly on special occasions ? If so why was it not flying on Sunday for the Queens celebrations ? It seems to me that it only flies when someone remembers to raise it. As for wreaths losing their meaning - that really is a disgraceful statement - to the people that lay them it means everything, it means remembering a loved one lost in tragic circumstances, a life cut short some of them teenagers. Try explaining your statement to someone like Caroline Aldridge who lost her son in Afghanistan & mourns for him every day of her life. He fought & died under that flag you think should only fly on special occasions. His wreath thrown away after a couple of weeks - his Mother remembers him every day of her life - the flag should fly to honour him & all the other brave men who died so that you can make shameful statements like that.
