The first time I had a flu jab it was for free because work paid. I think they were quite a new thing at the time.
I felt really (really!) bad for a couple of days afterwards, so subsequently decided to never have another one.
I'm now advised that the feeling bad for a day or two after a flu jab is both common and, particularly worth it this time, because this years flu strain will apparently completely floor you for about a fortnight.
So, Is this true? Or just scary sales tactics?
I ask because I can get a free one again because of a health condition. My local practice sent me a text reminding me of such a couple of days ago. But my work colleagues who have have recently got a jab have been moaning about the price.
