All going to change soon thanks to the
Water Bill.
As I understand it on a quick read and from what I've picked up from the
press (check the details yourself!), the plan if agreed is that all households will pay a premium called Flood Re on their insurance which will go towards a rebate based on Council Tax bands for those in high risk areas - but it won't apply to houses built after 2009 as the risks for particular areas should have been known by then.
