It's on bbc2 and has Dover and the channel in the background.

well spotted marek, i think that was filmed last summer.
i seem to remember there were quite a few things going on that weekend in dover, so it did not get the publicity it might have got on a different date.

This was a repeat, I recognised a couple of people on it.

I wonder how much Dover was flogged for ?
I watched it and thought how good it made Dover look. Especially the shot of the Town Hall with the 18th Century building (was the Library) next door. It looked very historic and quite posh. Only wish I had known it was happening, have something I have wanted valued for ages.

Kathryn and I were there to add a touch of class to an otherwise plebeian event.

Diane, that building would be the Town Council offices, purchased by them to save it from being turned into flats (and save money on the rent they were being charged by DDC for the old showroom in Castle Street).
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

I must say I was taken aback to see you and Kathryn holding court on there.
And I was also surprised not to see Vic in any of the shots.

Diana it was a repeat, the filming was done in the spring of 2009 as I remember.
