these chaps and chapesses came up the road earlier, one brandishing a flag of st george, most bearing cases of alcohol.
they were using some rather rude words loudly despite being escorted by 2 police officers.
they then turned off in to the alleyway under clarendon place
i decided not to take any photos when they were close as they gave the impression they would be rather miffed about it.
So, who were the little charmers?!

absolutely no idea bern, there did not appear to be any wording on the flag, none carried banners.
their garments one would describe as chavchic, and they knew where they were going as i heard one shout out to the rest "next alley on the left"
i know that ray invited members to join some sort of st george society, mabe this was the local branch?

I understand the BNP were doing something in the town centre earlier today - maybe they had something to do with them

I thought it was AlexD parading his new avatar and then presenting it to Howie for publication.

It was the English Defence League (BNP Lite) who were handing out leaflets outside Subway this lunch time while a protest group (possibly UAF) handed out their own on the other side of the road. They were seperated by a line of good natured police and they soon headed to Market Square and began their little march, led by a George Cross flag, back through the town.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

Possibly a short cut to their secret headquarters.

Howard, we're far more refained than that!
And if anyone fancies meeting us (sorry it's short notice, I've been out all day) the Dover Branch of The Royal Society of St George are have our annual service at St Mary's in the castle at 10 tomorrow morning. It's usually the first Sunday after 23rd April but had to be delayed this year because of the clash with a late Easter.
Entrance is free, just jump the queues waiting for 10 o'clock opening and say you're going to church at the gate.
Will Alex be there I wonder?

The English Defence League have a few members in Dover I see them some weekend catching the train, they went to London on the day of the Royal Wedding,I have no idea how the Britsh Transport Police knew what train they were going on!
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

I do find it strange that you can get 8 Policemen looking after these 4 people (The EDL) giving out leaflets in Town and yet you can't get 1 Policeman when East European children are throwing bangers/fire-crackers in shops and at shop owners, as happened on Friday.
Verbal abuse was thrown in the shop too - by these little kids with their parents.

The same reason no-one is ever stopped speeding on high risk Park Avenue or Maison Dieu Road but plenty are pulled over on lower risk dual carraigeways.
