The Times today lists the 30 top places for fish & chips in the UK.
At No. 1 is the Lifeboat House at Helston in Cornwall.
Coming in at No. 3 is the Middle Street Fish Bar in Deal where "the chips are crispy outside and fluffy inside with the batter light, crisp and non-greasy". Well done chaps!
At No.7 is the Whitstable Oyster Company where the eat-in price for fish, chips and mushy peas is £19.50!
Closer to home at No 13 is the Smokehouse in Folkestone where the "beautifully cooked" fish and chips is "well priced" at £7.50.
Tony's is quite good too and you don't have to go so far!
Terry
