    We had 21 volunteers today who turned out on a Sunday for the first time, and who managed to collect a staggering amount of litter from the Dour.

    This included 60 bags of general litter, furry dice, car radio, driving licence, traffic cones, cycle frame, half a fishing rod and a hunting knife, oh also a steak knife.

    The most interesting find was a WW2 British Army issue helmet. A little mangled but intact. This was found in the section of river next to Halfords.
