Yes, you're right there Roger, the Braemar was a TA and the Albatros was a PoC. The Albatros was mostly Germans. I hear that organised coaches left for London, Canterbury and Rye but there were a lot of tourists who ventured into Town, pity the weather was so atrocious. Hopefully some of them ventured up to the Transport Museum especially as there was a bus available
Yes, agree Howard, it seems that the first thing tourists do when they arrive in Dover town is take a photo of one another at the fountain with the castle as a backdrop. The fountain must stay operating in Dover, I perish the thought of getting rid of it under any circumstances whatsoever. It is our best asset in the town centre.
