I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Oh, it's not that I don't want to be rescued
as I sit in all this heat and choke
though I am amidst the fire
it is not what I desire
to be grappled by some big hairy bloke
Oh, it's not that I don't want to be rescued
or quickly have the fire put out
I have only this one chance
for my future to enhance
meeting a Firemen is not what it's all about
Oh, it's not that I don't want to be rescued
as the flames are a-licking at my toes
from afar I've long admired
the belle in helmet attired
I want to rescued by that gem of an English Rose
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

i used to work with a bloke who lived opposite a house where the man worked at fords. the bloke i worked with used to hate it when the bloke was on nights because he would be awoken every night by a fire engine whose crew dispersed into the house opposite.
thought i'd mention that after reading tom's poem .
