I looked into renting/leasing that building a few years back. In the state it was in, they wanted £35,000pa, and the new owners were required to make any repairs. It is no wonder that it remains empty and falling to bits. So we have this on one side of Dover, the dilapidated petrol station on the approach from the A2, the awful mess along Townwall Street. It is no wonder that Dover cannot attract investment into the town. We look like a third world slum. Surely the council, with forewarning, can make improvements and charge the owners for maintenance?
Although on the plus side, it is another area for wildlife.....
