  apparently the fire persons were called to a 2nd floor flat in maison dieu road to put out a fire.
  
  the chap was standing on a ledge at the back of the house when he made the 999 call.
  
  he seems to be o.k. but being treated for smoke inhallation.

  you may be right mel but i suspect that the after effects of the afore mentioned vegetable my have resulted in fanning the flames.

  I can vouch for that Brian! Too many sprouts on Christmas Day
