    Must be about 12 years ago now that Keith used to service my hearing aid from his flat and then open the back gate onto the alleyway as a short cut home for me. I doubt very much that the gate has been opened since. Most residents have severe mobility problems and would have no reason to walk up the incline as the bus services to and from the shops run at the front of the building. I didn't see the bulletin Brian refers to but can well believe that the lock could be rusted up.
