  For many reasons it is important to get as accurate a figure as possible of the number of people in the building at the time of the fire and to establish the number that died. The authorities need to use all sensible means to achieve this and this should not be an excuse for political point scoring or low brow jibes.
  
  The wider enquiry needs to examine the effectiveness of the TMO, the relationship with the local authority, the management of the refurbishment contract by both and the main contractor, the role played by all 3 in agreeing variations to the contract to reduce costs, the way fire certification of the cladding was obtained etc etc
  
  None of this should be political
