  one of my favourite channels, great historical stuff also they are doing reruns of the original "last of the summer wine".

  I came across the programme by pure chance, it's a shame about the loss of the 'cockle ship' and crew, to lose their lives whilst being towed home by their lifelong friends and family via Dover after saving all the soldiers off the beaches
  
  Excellent programme touching at the heartstrings, it brings it all home how close Britain came to losing the BEF and thousands of our french allies, the majority of them trained and seasoned regulars.
