  I have long advised people not to get ill during a bank holiday. despite the fact that they are not a surprise and there are people paid shedloads of money specifically to manage health and social services we are still faced, every time, with people saying that they don't know the service, are short of staff, or they are only temporary. So tough titty, have your stroke/cardiac arrest/toothache/Ecoli more thoughtfully next time. If there is a next time.
