12:1985828checked out the websites of our 3 operators and there is nothing there that suggests that they are looking to mop up the business that eurostar cannot carry.
the harbour board website just states that the port is up and running, no mention that foot passengers would be welcome to use dover port.

12:4285832of course they would be welcome if they pay the higher fears. took my wife to station this morning and there were at lest 35 people off a train getting on the bus for the port we seem to be the only way they are going to get home for Christmas. A friend of my in France said extra trains from Calais to Paris and Belgium but no euro star they are just local express trains put in to ease the congestion but then there trains have overhead wires and small plows on the front of all there Engines

07:3886006There was a piece on the news with Robert Dodridge of DHB; he was saying traffic is up 10 fold and they are coping O.K.
Nothing was said about fares prices or bicycles, so the foot passengers were being transported across the Channel for their onward journey to where ever. Hope they make it before Christmas.
