this poster goes into great detail as to why it is wrong to feed the pigeons, the usual suspects take no notice though.

doubt it would have any effect jeane, the bone headed people that feed the pigeons are usually the same ones that throw massive chunks of bread to the ducks up at kearsney.
all that happens is the water gets clouded and rats pay a visit.

Suppose a swan came along and started distributing fivers, would you turn them down?

As a former councillor once said to me, the best way to deal with the pigeons outside Maison Dieu House is not to shoot them but to shoot the old lady that feeds them.

Alexander, trouble is the pigeons and seagulls along with swans just distribute sh.t.
We had a lady come into the shop today to buy one of our 50p tee-shirts because a seagull had just ruined her top.
Terry, what a good idea.

Most don't do it in mid-air, Alex, thank God.

Peter
I don't suppose they are suitable for any menu, are they?

I have often used pigeon in the kitchen but urban feral pigeons are unsuitable as they are mostly diseased. Did you know that the commonest cause of death among town populations is botulism from eating rotten food from bins?
