So, what is the definition of a fake £2 coin?
Perhaps it could be a mistake in the minting? In which case they'd be worth quite some money. But you'd have to describe the details, Penny, for any clue in this respect.

Fake £1 coins are in the news and there is information about how to sop them on the Royal Mint site, but nothing on fake £2.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

Are you sure they are not euros Penny, I took one thinking it was a £2 when I was very busy when I was at the shop.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

with coins usually the weight of a fake is a giveaway assuming one has the time to think about it.

I wouldn't have known but when I went to spend them in another shop they wouldn't take them. They feel a bit lighter than usual.
