The thread is not silly, and perhaps one should actually read the thread's article by opening the link before jumping to conclusions (Jan).
The author is a former Oxford evolutionary biologist, and he mentions evolution in his fulminations against God and people who believe in Him.

The theory of evolution with regards to the Earth's age is one subject, the theory of evolution regards species is something totally different.
I've already explained what the Bible says regards days: a day can be a very long time, not necessarily a day or a thousand years.

My explanations were centred on the so-called evolution of mono cells into species, and the evolution of one species into another.
Proper science, for example medical science, and biology, utterly refuse the evolution theory of cells developing into species, and of one species developing into another species, but may-be one should do some research to convince oneself of this fact, rather than calling this tosh.

The theory of evolution of cells and species is not science, but a theory, and one that is rejected by proper science.
There are plenty of facts about in medical journals that can prove this.

The problem with the author of the article (link in post 1), is that he is a declared atheist, but tries to subdue science to his atheist views, and declares every Religion that is in line with science as "rubbish".

It's his total lack of scientific knowledge that surprises me.
In fact many scientists believe in an evolution that is guided by God, which does not dispute the evolution of Earth, but will never uphold the species-evolution theory.

Jan, may-be you could explain to us how a cell developed into a person. Are there scientific explanations? Of-course not!
