  I dont believe in ofsted reports either. How can you rate a school good in previous year and then inadequate the next??
  A school cannot improve withing 12 months. It takes alot longer than that.
  I have had my fair experience with primary school and their policies.
  Lets see next year, they will be outstanding!

  fair point heike, i can remember a big debate about priory fields school not long ago and an ofsted report.
  
  there were many conflicting views and eventually i reached the decision that parents were happy if their offspring were doing well there and equally unhappy if they weren't.

  yes you right on this. But thinking it through, you cant really make changes in such a short time of space. This would be a success story for businesses too wouldnt it? I know Charlton school have been a good school for years in the past, s o as many others. So how come , with the same People its suddenly got so bad??? Surely Ofsted must do some mistakes in their own work too? I know I have complained about school, but I do recognise if they do well too and say so

  Actually schools can decline quite rapidly if an eye is taken off the ball. What is more a school can be turned around again very quickly with good leadership. In fact Barton and White Cliffs went through just that.
