The FA cup match against Guernsey will be played at Lancing F.C. on Saturday 28th September at 3.00pm. If the match ends in a draw, the replay shall be played at Crabble on Tuesday 1st October with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Well the first half Dover dominated going in 2-0 up.
the secondhalf restart saw the score pegged back to 2-1
with £4,500 to the winners slightly worrying time more so when they pulled back to 2-2
but one of my favourites(modest) got the winner 3-2
well dover goes into the 3rd qualifying round hat hopefully a home draw

It was a very good entertaining game by both sides, we dominated the first half and should have gone in with more than the two goals but Guernsey came out with more fight in the second half and scored almost straight from the kick off.
We played with width in the first half but appeared to loose that in the second half which helped them no end, still a good day out, Guernsey are certainly too good a team for the league they are in and I have to say Lancing did a great job with their hospitality to both teams.

i remember seeing a cup game once at the orient where non league irthlingborough diamonds were the opposition.
i seem to remember brian talbot managing them when they played in the football league under their present name.

Not quite under their present name Howard there is now AFC in front of it as they folded and had to start from rock bottom again, they now play at the level of Deal Town as they try and climb the pyramid. They lost their fantastic ground and now play at the Dog and Duck ground Wellingborough. Talbot did manage them at their pomp and was loathed by Dover fans for disparaging comments about us, how times have changed!

a bit like franchise fc when they moved to milton keynes martin, no-one thought the supporters initiative would be as successful as afc wimbledon has been.
