  the scrutiny usually operates in a non political way just how it should do, but if this is then to be turned into a political ball game by the cnservatives, then that will undermine the scutiny role.
  
  
  with regard to house building in reality alexander i think the house building will go ahead, this is because the local tory administration is in favour of it, the present cobbled together govt is also in favour of it.
