It is fair that Seafrance is subsadised. They run a service for people, so the French government does well in subsadising the company when they are in financial difficulties.
Otherwise they would have to lay off many workers, and possibly close down.
The French government does keep to at least a part of the former social achievements of the French society, and I suppose the payment of motowway and Alpine tun
