Eurostar delays.

  the above eurostar trains have been delayed/suspended untill futher notice due to power supply problems on the freanch side.france has been suffering small power failers for a week or so,which has all so paris fashion week.

  The reason for the power shortages Brian is that France has suffered huge falls of snow in Lille and all points directly south of Lille. Airports have been badly affected and the TGV has been cancelled completely from Lille to Paris...so rail journeys are affected badly. Just when we thought all this snow was all behind us...no its back, not here yet, but not all that far away.

  paulb,not disputing what you are saying,but just cheacked the sky news report no snow was mentiond.

  I have just watched Sky news as well. Absolutely no mention of the heavy snow falls. Or that the rest of the northern high speed rail network was affected. Thalys, tgv and eurostar. 40,000 travellers affected. Sky made it sound as if Eurostar had got it all wrong again. Very unfair

  Interesting. This is definitely being reported over here as a Eurostar problem the inference being 'it's more of the same'. Shabby.

  spoke to alan who was over that way sunday,no snow in the calias region.he and a few friends drove down lille way no snow just heavy rain and strong winds,but a light covering of snow down verdun way.
