    Another big hole in our High Street. At one time we were doing well, with quite a few shops opening; as with the others that have closed, it has nothing to do with Dover, but outside forces.

    The school-uniform supply was possibly a factor as a (non-local) preferred supplier was appointed even though local companies could supply better quality and cheaper. I know Peter Drew (of Phillips and Drew) tried for quite a while to argue their case, but the decision was made; Peter's shop closed down (and he opened up ShuuZ (?) in London Road. Now this one.

    Something exciting and vibrant needs to go there to draw people to the Market Square, but it's a big shop-space to fill. Great location for a Visitor Information Centre (it's O.K. I know it is moving across the way from there).

    I hope it is left in a presentable state when it closes.
