I know just how you feel, Colin. I am so pleased you are doing so well. I hope you can retire soon and enjoy life. I too survived, firstly breast cancer, and then the loss of a kidney due to infection. I had septicaemia and peritonitis and was not expected to survive. I now face haemodialysis, and I know that when that starts I shall probably only have about 2 - 4 years, not being a candidate for peritoneal dialysis or transplant. I am determined to enjoy what I can and not be a misery for my family. Not being able to get out and about that much it is a great help to be able to visit the forum and make my mark!!
Maggie, what a dreadful experience. I send you both my love and best wishes.
