........and to those who ridiculed Vic for starting this thread up as xenophobia or scaremongering people into voting UKIP at the election, I hope you will now have the good grace to apologise. This was headline news on the BBC this morning, confirming that every word Vic said was true.
Sad that the EU deem renaming a body of water in the first place worthy of being on any agenda, sadder still that they waste £1.1m on doing (in God's name, HOW can it cost any money at all?), but saddest of all is that people on here found it necessary to pillory Vic for posting the truth on here.
The truth often hurts; the open ridicule Vic suffers for telling things the way he sees them is really offensive and is more a reflection on those that post such comments than anything else. The opening salvoes of the election have barely begun, yet the nastiness is in full swing. Those of you who bemoan the low esteem politicians are held in should look at these comments and wonder whether or not there might be more respect and a higher turnout on polling day if you actually conducted a campaign that centred on policies rather than personal attacks on someone for telling the truth.
