Your right Bern, maybe we do need to look at how we live and work, but do relise that is not also a choice with work. yes we have had a few bad bouts of snow last couple of years, but we hadn't been getting it every year, maybe we will in future if so new plans must be drawn up and plans that can be implemented fast. We are lucky, we are a friendly set of neighbours here, we all help each other, but bet there are some who don't even know who lives next door.
My son has learned to live and work with the snow there, winter tyres, carrying shovels, grit and carrying extra warm clothing and snacks in the car are a must, mind you the average winter temp there is between -15degs to -25degs!!
