    Transport minister just been on news he was asked a direct question is there enough salt to grit roads, he said there are millions of tons.

    on the side roads question the transport minister stated clearly if side roads pavements are not salted then that is a decision of the local council
    the govt has provided the salt for pavements/side roads if there not done its local councils who made the decisiion not to.
