22:1580069I was offered a TV for free, but said no, as it would save me burrying it in the garden.

08:1480097There's some great programmes on the TV - but also some rubbsih; you can be discerning and watch intelligent,amusing/funny, informative TV all day if you want to - it's there, you just have to look for it.

12:2280122I agree with Roger. However, there is a problem in that if you watch ITV2 and some of the more obscure stations (for example on FreeSat) you are bombarded with not only commercials, but trailers for other programmes. You get these same trailers in every commercial break (and for weeks) to the point where even my cockatiel advised some woman who had droned on four times an hour "will you shut up!"
In fact, we rarely watch British tv, since we are not fans of either reality shows or soaps and apart from the odd drama and natural history or history/archaeology there is very little to appeal.

16:5080505See, for me it reminded me to obtain the Ring Cycle. Such utter poo does that.

20:1980552There`s only one Wagner, and perhaps the only time I`ve agreed with Hitler.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

20:2680556I am rather hoping my comment wasn't misinterpreted #7 - Wagner and Mahler do meet a need in me and I referred to the Ring Cycle somewhat, ahem, playfully...................

21:1080581quite right bern, the thought of wagner's ring conjures up a most unpleasant image.
would have been best if he kept it available only for close friends.

21:5280593In todays paper Energetic x factor oddball Wagner has been getting incapacity cash with the blessing of benefits bosses. for 2 months social security chiefs have dished £91.40 a week in benefits and is likely to have been eligible for further housing benefit cash.this is for an injured shoulder.

If he's incapacitated for work, surely he's incapacitated for the X Factor too ?
