    According to The Tramway Routes of Dover by George Blackburn 1995:

    "In 1980 the staff of McKeen Engineering carefully restored the shelter after it had been demolished in an accident"

    There is a question raised as to whether it was in it's original position as there trough that is now in the Market Square was the only thing on the corder in photographs prior to 1930 so may have been moved there when the trams closed in 1936
