What repairs, Mr. Matcham?
I am all ears to hear about this unbreakable glass and this permo-paint.
Where, oh where, is the wondrous thing that is designed and built to endure unaffected by time. The Pyramids are not as they once were, and if it comes to that the white cliffs of Dover are certainly not where they once were. Why should this Tram Shelter be expected to be more permanent that anything else, be it natural or man made?
What has been done and as things stand no effort has been made to maintain this 'object' in it's original condition. It has suffered a two pronged attack of vandalism; from the Council and one or two young miscreants. Can it be that the young vandals are the only ones that one can hope may grow-up?
