As far as I am aware, the Dover and Deal Conservtive Party do not have a policy of putting up candidates for Dover Town Council, but if anyone wants to stand for Town Council, they will not be dissuaded from doing so.
Of course Peter G is right, the Town Council has always been political, since there's been Labour Town Councillors.
A few years ago, the precept went up by 29% in one year; since the Indies/Dover Alliance have been there, it's gone up hardly at all, so prudence can work, if given the chance.
Full steam ahead for working for Dover Town - it started last year, hope it continues in a stronger vein this year.
