Samphire Hoe, which is only accessible to walkers and those who drive.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Indeed it is very difficult to get to on foot, pity that Stagecoach don't add it to the 61 route during the summer months.

I recently went to the Hoe by taxi, and I am still paying off the bank loan! From Westbury to the Hoe was £8+ and the return fare was over £20 as you return via Capel, never again! As a none driveing snapper I often have heavy kit with me and cannot always lug it around, so why not a bus? One going to Folkestone perhaps?

What about the tourbus? could they add it to their route, not sure mainline buses would go that route as they go up Folkestone road.

Once the dignitaries had gone the real celebrations took place - hog roast, Kentish beer and music by The Mighty Cowpats, all to thank the volunteers who put so much time and effort into the place.

Just a reminder of tomorrow when geology expert Mel Wrigley will be bringing along various fossils including a mammoth tooth found in the sea off Folkestone.
