I will be travelling down by train
looking forward to a good game and Dover to progress to quarter finals, although it will be tough with eastleigh sitting second in the league

A real tough draw made harder by suspensions to Kinnear and Raggett who both have been outstanding, we have a good record there so let's hope we can do it on the day as a replay would no doubt put them in the box seat with our dire home form.

Well having given away a 3rd minute goal It was going to be uphill for Dover
Eastleigh then had chances to score 4 or 5 more times
but a fantastic equaliser that really the eastleigh goalie should have saved put Dover level.
Although eastleigh put Dover under a lot of pressure , aDover did have chances,
but Dovers position wasnt helped by having a player sent off, in a mellee of handbags at dawn.
Dover did go 2-1 up and appeared to be settling and getting more into the game.
They did enough to stay on top till half time.
The second half was end to end and and could have been many goals either end, but Dovers wasting time at every opportunity
backfired on them when eastleigh equalised in the 80th minute
and in injury time scored the winner.
it was surprizing the ease that eastleigh scored the 3rd, dover players all stood still making it easy for the 3rd.
Dover will now have to concentrate on there league position
and just think what could have been.

Keith think 4 or 5 early on is stretching it a bit, 2 or 3 more yes as Eastleigh did come out of the starting blocks looking for it. However both first goals, theirs and ours where more to do with the conditions in the goal areas than the keepers making errors as both appeared to slip. I was surprised that no sawdust was put down in the goal mouths early in the day to dry them out a bit as they were awful at both ends.
Elder got sent off because of his own stupidity (hardly handbags), the foul was given near the half way line and Elder holds on to the ball, when their player tries to snatch it, he then does a headbut, be it only a soft one it is still violent conduct and the ref had little choice. A three match ban now ans for what being stupid. In the end going down to 10 men cost us the game and I hope he gets the maximum fine.
Do not get me wrong Dover played well.with 10 men and when they got the penalty they took their chance and could on a coup[le of occasions gone further ahead but in the end the usual happened. Good old Mr Kinnear made no subs at all, they made two and tired legs on a heavy going pitch cost us the game.
The 10 men played their hearts out (gave 100%) and you can take defeat far easier when they play that way, but in my humble opinion we lost yesterday because Kinnear has no plan B and Elders stupidity for after the sending off we played 5,4,0 How often do you see a team play three quarters of the game with no designated striker at all when there are two on the bench waiting for the chance.
Mr Kinnear keeps telling us he has a good squad and in some ways I do not disagree, but what is the point of a squad if you do not use the "Squad" He has substitutes does he use them NO and if he does they come on in the last five minutes.
Overall I enjoyed the game today there was some good football on a difficult pitch and was proud of the teams overall efforts but well thats a big but, Chris Kinnear just when oh when is he going to have a plan B.

I think we can mostly agree, But i do stand by that first 10/15 minutes Dover could have gone 4/5 down, but rode there luck.
Certainly we can agree Dover has a fair side for this league, enough maybe to make the play offs.
I do think they played there heart out with 10 men, and i was to far away to see exactly what happened i saw him grab the ball
the rest had a mellee of players, so i take your word for it.
certainly they played there hearts out and had chances, but i was behind the goal when eastleigh got there 3rd, all the Dover defence stood motionless
Harry we have to agree on C Kinnear, not only is it bad tactics, predictable, waste of money keeping players on the bench,
We have at long last got out of the high ball, but we still go ahead then have 11 defenders for a lot of the game.
Teams get used to it and it gives them confidence

Good reports there thank you. I think Mr Kinnear might go if Dover do not get any where they nust play for the full 90mins and try to keep 11 men up to the end seems that is not the case in the last few matchs and that is costing Dover good runs in the cups and points.

It wouldnt be a good move to sack the manager
not unless someone that is definatly better is around an you can afford to pay him.
I just think mr kinnear needs to use all his squad, and not defend so much

While I go on about Chris Kinnear and his style of play, (one man up front and his use of substitutes) I will always back the team and remain positive, all I hope is Chris proves me wrong.
Dorchester away Saturday, I can not be there as I have to be at the Mill early evening so will be looking out for a good result.

Not sure what you mean Keith, I support Dover through and through ( since the age of 5) which is why I do two voluntary jobs at the Ground and have missed just one home game in 6 years and get to most away games.
No I am not a lover of Chris Kinnears as a Manager, I had mixed feelings when he came back to Dover plus I do not like his tactics and would not bat an eyelid if he left but if he proves me wrong then so be it. Not sure how that changes anything.I have said before. Even when we have won I am happy for the team and fans but that so far has not changed my opinion of C.K..
We have a good squad and they still can get into this seasons playoffs but I have doubts because of the way Mr Kinnear plays his team. I get to talk to others at the club even some players you should hear some of their comments.
I have supported the club in all leagues even when it was Dover FC with just 100 fans and went bust and I will always do so, please do not question my loyalty, which you appear to be doing. We all have opinions and football brings out many of them all the time.
Rant over, sorry but your last comments have just pulled my chain..
