over the period today until monday around 270,000 people are expected to pass through our port, a figure approximating to about 4 times the number that will pass through heathrow.
to put the figure in perspective it equates to 7 cars and 37 passengers every minute.
Do you no how many people pass through on a normal weekend Howard ?

There were quite a few foreigners up at the heights today, all of them read the notice boards I noticed. While we were there a friend of my husband arrived from Ramsgate with four or five people who he was giving a tour of the Grand shaft etc.
On that subject I was very surprised and a bit disappointed that no-one commented on my post about the WCCP volunteers who worked so hard the other day. I hope I'm not the only one who apreciates the work they do.
There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

I saw three crosses on Western Heights. Even though it's Easter of Resurrection!

It would have been a great opportunity to have opened the Grand-Shaft too.
Sadly not.
