Last weekend it was announced that e-On were found guilty by Ofgem for giving out wrong information.
About 18 months ago I went to an e-On stand in Folkestone High Street and took with me a years bills I had from my then current supplier.. The e-On representative at the stall told me that looking at my current usage over the past 12 months they could save me £30 to £40 per month. I signed up with e-On and have to say they have lived up to what they quoted even with the price increases so can not complain as I have saved as quoted over £30 per month.
However today I have received a letter from E-On saying they may have given me the wrong information and as compensation they enclosed a cheque for £69. Not a lot of money but as I had no complaints in the first place I am more than pleased.
It also proved E-On have moved very fast after the Ofgem announcement and their Directors apology on the T. V. and Radio News.
