I know that as a kid the DOY School was viewed as a very good school.
Can anybody offer an opinion on what the school is like now?
I have nothing but praise for it Steve ,

Sarah:
I believe it's an academy now as opposed to a 100% military school.
Are they well thought of?
The school is still overwhelmingly populated by service families , but now takes non service children , Its academic record is good but more than that it takes care of the whole person . The boarding school part dosnt suit every child, and you have to accept that a military theme and tradition runs all the way through the school and its life .
