13:0379251between the riverside centre and the college there were 12 tiny ducklings swimming along with their mother.
seems rather late in the year for them, wish i had my camera with me.

13:1579257Yes it does seem rather late but always a nice sight to see. Maybe one of the lads will get a shot. If the sun shines they will come out best...some sun scheduled for tomorrow I believe bringing an end to the eternal grey.

you are right in post 2, when i went past the sky was a deep grey, the ducklings would not have made a good picture with the college and the overhanging trees making the whole scene rather murky.
no doubt the intrepid colin will have a go tomorrow.

16:2779465Howard, I did venture up there this morning to record your ducklings, but though I found numerous ducks, and birds that looked liked ducks, I couldn`t find any ducklings, even going up further to Barton path. May have been a bit too cold today, but then again, the seagull`s are very partial to picking them off. Hopefully someone else spot`s them.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

18:2879489Sadly ducks are not very good mothers and tend to forget any stragglers when they move on. What with that, the wind and rain, rats and seagulls the poor little things might no longer be with us.
