The Chinese visit the City of Oxford in their droves and many live there so obviously they need somewhere to spend their money and it certainly does have the affluent tourist driven Cotswold area to draw the customers from.
Those design labels can easily be found in London so why on earth would the well heeled travel who live there travel into Kent, people tend to shop in the nearest shopping area to them. Even when young and living in London I would not have thought of going elsewhere especially as I had a 10% discount in Harrods and its associated stores.
