    Not aimed at you Sue, but there are many single and married elderly who should consider it, for economic reasons if no other (inheritance tax at £325 000 currently the price of a detached bungalow on Cowper rd) If they need care they could lose the property anyways, if they die in the house their family will lose 40% of every pound over the £325 000 In many cases it makes financial sense.
    Plus the freed equity could make for a more fullfilling old age. As they say you can't take it with you.
