    M&S has denied rumours it is considering pulling out of the St James regeneration scheme in Dover.

    The Express exclusively revealed last year that the retail giant had signed up to bring an M&S Food store to Townwall Street - once Burlington House is knocked down.

    But this paper was contacted by a businessman yesterday who said: "Have you heard any rumours about M&S and the DTIZ?

    "I heard from an incredibly reliable source that they are going cold on the deal."


    COMMITTED: M&S told the Express: "We remain committed to the planned store at the St James development."
