    So I read that a CPO has been issued to buy the land in the Castle Street area.How many years has it been now? I am old enough to remember the Dover Stage hotel,the building of the Gateway flats,The closure of the Britannia pub,the opening of the then Holiday Inn and the East Kent bus company,the ABC cinema and all the rest in this area..This part of Dover has looked like a bomb site for decades and it's an utter disgrace that it has taken so long to do something about it. The Gateway to England. The saying go's "You get one chance to create a first impression". Nuff said! Perhaps the on line petition has something to do with it?
    And while we're at it how long is it going to be before the old Crypt site is sorted out - another 20 years?
