News seems to be filtering out about a scandal involving 2 local DTC councilors, one of whom is also a DDC councilor.
Apparently, the councilor involved with DTC & DDC has moved to Medway.
Anyone know anything?

JG & VR are the initials of the councilors concerned, apparently.

Hi.
Dover must have hundreds of cargo ships visiting then setting sail for all kinds of exotic places. Has anyone ever applied to be a passenger on one? I notice that there are websites dedicated to travel by cargo ship, but it would be interesting to hear if anyone has first hand experience of how it works and what it's like.

A mate of mine(Yes I have some} Worked on a cargo ship that also carred passengers, there was not many about 12 I think he told me.I t was his job to look after them. He told as a passenger thats the best way to go,it does not cost so much and the food they get is the best,they are very well looked after by crew members can even look round the ship , Tv, lots of books etc to read Sorry but that is all I can say about it.

I believe that one of the DDC councilors is indeed living outside the district. Whilst of a different political leaning to myself he has always struck me as a hard working councilor who has done his best for his Ward.
If he were to resign his position a by-election would cost in excess of £5000.
Since he, and all other councilors are up for election next year, my own view is that whilst circumstances might not be ideal, he should serve out his term. I would not expect him to stand next year.
