As a former resident of Dover this article does not surprise me. Anyone who knows Dover will also know that the problem is endemic in the area and hitherto such matters have been"swept under the carpet". A more robust campaign is required utilising all agencies who have knowledge and experience of the problem. It can not be left to the police alone although they seem to bear the brunt of complaints . The council and private individuals who own or have control of derelict properties should be taken to task over poor security of these properties. Whilst there are such properties there will always be anti social behaviour`
