our chaps and chapesses down at the docks have been busying themselves this week.
on wednesday they found 6 tonnes of cannabis valued at £18 milion on a spanish registered truck and yesterday discovered 28 kilos of cocaine in a british registered car valued at about £.1.2 million.
the drivers of both vehicles have been bailed.

In some countries, if found guilty they'd have been hanged.
If they knew about it, then they should get a very strict prison-sentence. People who knowingly transport drugs for distribution are the cause of untold misery, together with the other delinquents involved in drug-production and smuggling.
Drug cartels should be dealt with using the utmost severity, with very long prison sentences.
Gov. should invest more money in border controls, as this may, I say may, just be the tip of the iceberg.
I may also be wrong there, but better to control more for the benefit of the doubt.

Couldn't agree more Alexander.
More border control personnel required too, not less.
The cost, not just financial, is huge and I'm sure is just the tip of the iceberg - on people smuggling too.

How would all the gas, electricity, water, waste, etc etc etc etc etc be managed if all the foreigners who seem to own it couldn't get in....?

Trouble is, Brian, the Ministry of de Fence hasn't got the money to build it!
